I think anyone can pull off any color of lipstick. It all depends on what shade is right for you. Orange is such a fun, spring and summery color. You guys should try it. I know what you're thinking. I thought I couldn't pull of orange, at all. I didn't think I had the skin tone for it, I thought it would be too loud of a color and frankly I thought that unless I was Abbey Lee Kershaw it would look stupid. However, last week I went to Sephora and had some of the colorists pick out a few shades for me. As soon as I tried on Kat Von D's lipstick, I fell in love with the color. It was cute and vibrant and fun, yet subtle and not too loud. Unfortunately they were sold out so I went yesterday (the day after they restock) and their was one left, so I bought it. It goes on real smooth.
Although I really like the way the color flatters me, there are a few things I do not like about this lipstick. For one, Kat Von D's Painted Love Lipstick has no vitamins or moisturizer in the lipstick so it feels real dry on my lips. I think this problem can be solved if I just apply a coat of lip balm underneath the lipstick; Burt's Bees is the best, fyi. Secondly, since it's cremy it tends to glide. I still think the color is nice and the lipstick is okay so I don't mind spending $19 on it. Kat Von D has a lot of other nice colors.
